Youth In Church Sunday

Zavier Hasnani, Angel Lalog, Rev. Bright, Taylor Stewart

By Diane Harvey

We celebrated youth in church Sunday on August 17, 2014. We were blessed to have our “youth” participate in the Worship Service. Zavier lit the candles prior to Rev. Bright, Zavier, Taylor, and Angel processing in at the beginning of the Service. Zavier Hasnani and Taylor Stewart assisted Diane Harvey with the liturgy. Zavier led the congregation in the call to Worship, as well as singing a solo “Just A Closer Walk With Thee”. Taylor Stewart read Scripture, as well as reading a poem. Angel sang in the choir.

At the conclusion of the Service, Zavier, Angel, and Taylor processed out with Rev. Bright and Diane Harvey, where they shook hands with the congregation as they left. Everyone was proud of these youngest members of the church. I’m Sure God was smiling down on them. We all have a part in helping our youth to understand what it means to be a Christian.

A Hundred Years From Now… It will not matter how much money was in our bank accounts… Where we lived…What type of cars we drove… But the world may different because… We were important in the life of a child…
