"Our mission is to praise and glorify God. We strive to be a vibrant, welcoming, and Christ-centered community of faith that follows the Great Commission that is recorded in Matthew 28:19-20."

"We strive to become a growing church where all ages can grow in faith, a church in which people feel at home and, inspired by the Holy Spirit and their love for God, align their lives to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and in holy living; thus preparing themselves for His return and eternal life."

Gift of the Heart Cleanup Buckets

Our latest project, Gift of the Heart Cleanup Buckets, have all been assembled and are in the hands of the Red Cross. These buckets were filled with supplies that will offer help to families that are facing the overwhelming task of storm and flood clean up. This was the first year that our church was involved in this project and we were excited with the amount of participation. We hope to make this one of our permanent missions that we do each year.

Annual Spaghetti Dinner 2013!

Easter Egg Hunt 2013 Pictures

We had an egg-citing time with our Easter Egg Hunt this year. There were over 50 people in attendance including many of our friends from Lauderdale-by-the-Sea Community Church, a special group from Davie, some of our congregation, along with one of our friends and her family from our Pit Stop ministry.  We were very happy with the turnout and equally as pleased with the sunny skies that were provided from above.

The evening started with fun activities and games for the kids along with a free hot dog supper topped off with the all time favorite, s’mores  (which could not be passed up by the young or old). Then down to the serious part as night started to fall all the children of various ages lined up with baskets, bags, pails, and flashlights eager to search for the 100 or so brightly colored plastic eggs that were scattered over the front lawn of the church.

The object was to gather as many eggs as possible in an allotted time but the search slowed a little when temptation won out to eat the candy from each egg before moving on to the next. After getting everyone back on track, all eggs were finally in the baskets and back to the prize table where even more candy was given (to take home). Then the excitement level went even higher when the Easter bunny hopped out to greet everyone. All the children were given storybooks as well as hugs and handshakes to remember Mr. Bunny by.

All in all everyone seemed to have a great time and all the children went home with lots of goodies and gifts. Calvary Presbyterian Church was happy to share in the excitement with all the kids and enjoyed hosting this event along with Lauderdale-by-the-Sea Community Church.

2013 Annual Church Picnic Pictures

Our annual church picnic was held on  Sunday, March 10th, in the Bateman George building, following the worship service. Family members and friends joined us as we celebrated with hot dogs, hamburgers, tasty side dishes and scrumptious desserts made by our great cooks here at Calvary Presbyterian Church.

Thank you to all who came out and enjoyed this time of fellowship and good food. Thank you to all who prepared the food and especially to the hospitality committee for setting everything up. You guys are great!
